Ashleigh Katzenmoyer

Ashleigh has been actively involved in sports since the day she was born. As the daughter of a coach who has been involved in many sports, she has benefitted from that first hand experience. Ashleigh was an All-CCL and second team All-District softball player from Bishop Ready High School. She continued her passion for playing softball by signing at Ohio Dominican University.

In 2002, Ashleigh played on the Panther’s first-ever regional title and NAIA National Tournament team. After suffering from two softball injuries, Ashleigh transferred to Otterbein College, where she completed her bachelor’s degree majoring in Health Promotion and Fitness, in addition to earning a minor in Coaching. She has furthered her studies by obtaining her Master of Arts in Integrative Medicine, specifically in Experiential Health and Healing, from The Graduate Institute in Connecticut, which is affiliated with Yale University and Mitchell College.

In 2004, Ashleigh was on the strength training staff at the Poliquin Performance Center (PPC) in Phoenix, Arizona, where she interned and worked under Charles Poliquin, world-renowned strength and conditioning coach, and Nelson Ayotte, currently the strength and conditioning coach for the St. Louis Blues NHL team. Ashleigh gained exceptional experience by assisting in training various Olympic athletes preparing for 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, along with training NHL and NFL professional athletes. She also obtained her level one PPC certification as an International Strength and Conditioning Coach, and was a contributor and writer for the PPC website.

In 2005, Ashleigh was offered a strength and conditioning position at a personal training studio in Darien, Connecticut associated with the PPC. While working and attending classes, Ashleigh was invited to intern under Dr. Jeffrey Morrison, at The Morrison Center on Fifth Avenue, NYC in 2006. Dr. Morrison specializes in integrative medicine and is a medical doctor who emphasizes a nutritional approach to healthcare, as well as preventing and reversing degenerative diseases by implementing safe, non-toxic and non-invasive therapies to patients.

Ashleigh believes in integrating a holistic approach to nutrition, strength training, and lifestyle choices to achieve an optimum balance. This philosophy has changed the lives of many of her clients, by treating the body as a whole system and finding the root cause of a problem.

Ashleigh has experience working with a variety of individuals ranging from general population clientele, expectant and new mothers, to youth, high school, collegiant, and professional athletes.
