TIP 3: Post Workout Nutrition:
Post workout, it is vitally important to intake a fast absorbing carbohydrate for optimal muscle gain and recovery. Every time you lift weights, you are breaking down muscle fibers and burning muscle glycogen. In order for you to grow and recover, you need to replenish your muscle glycogen stores, and to do this you must intake a fast absorbing carbohydrate. The faster you give your body what it needs to build and recover, the easier it is to build muscle.
I hope these tips are helping you reevaluate what you are doing when putting on muscle. Next week I will discuss sleep and rest in Tip 4.
